Raymore-Peculiar School District
 is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Special Education Behavior Interventionist to join our dynamic team for the 2025-2026 school year! Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess, develop, and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with autism and other disabilities. The Behavior Interventionist will work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to support students' social, emotional, and academic growth through evidence-based behavioral strategies. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine the function of problem behaviors.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students.
  • Provide direct support to students in the classroom and other school environments as needed.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administrators to ensure the successful implementation of behavior plans.
  • Train and supervise paraprofessionals and other staff members in behavioral techniques.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and support to teachers and staff to help manage and prevent challenging behaviors.
  • Monitor and analyze student progress, making necessary adjustments to interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to discuss student progress and provide strategies for behavior management at home.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, plans, and progress reports.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis.
Qualifications:  
  • Possess one of the following professional credentials:
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
    • Degree in Special Education
    • Degree in School Psychology
    • Degree in Behavior Analysis
  • Experience working with special education students preferred.
Work Calendar:
  • 184 day contract
  • 10 extra paid days
