Job Description:
Rolla Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and passionate Choir Director to lead and inspire our High School vocal music program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and directing various choirs, including but not limited to concert choir, chamber choir, and vocal ensembles, while fostering a positive and engaging environment for students. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who loves music and is dedicated to helping students develop their musical talents. 
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, teach, and direct choirs of varying skill levels, including concerts and performances.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive choral music curriculum that promotes vocal technique, music theory, and performance skills.
• Prepare students for local, regional, and state music festivals and competitions.
• Collaborate with other music and arts faculty to enhance the school’s music program.
• Organize and lead choir rehearsals, sectional practices, and performances.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and teamwork.
• Provide individual guidance to students on vocal technique, musicality, and performance.
• Manage choir-related administrative duties, including organizing events, maintaining music libraries, and coordinating logistics for performances.
• Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and upcoming events.
• Attend and actively contribute to faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as needed.
