Job Description:
Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience. Minimum salary $125,000.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Administration: Administer a wide variety of personnel policies and employment agreements (e.g., orientation, labor and employment contracts, compensation schedules) to ensure conformity with district policies, relevant laws, contracts, and agreements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external personnel (e.g., other administrators, auditors, public agencies, community members, worker's compensation, staff development) to implement and maintain services and programs
  • Data Analysis: Compile data from various internal and external sources to analyze issues, ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, and monitor program components.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update the Board of Education's approved personnel policies and administrative regulations by collaborating with employee associations and preparing final documents to ensure compliance.
  • Compensation Planning: Develop personnel compensation plans (e.g., salary cost versus expense analysis, benefit contributions comparisons, negotiation proposals) to remain competitive with salary and benefits to recruit and retain highly qualified personnel.
  • Performance Evaluation: Direct the performance evaluation system for certified personnel and implement new programs and/or processes (e.g., audit completion, programming updates, tracking tools, support staff evaluation procedures/documents) to ensure employee observations are completed annually and in-service training and mentoring are provided to leadership within established timeframes and in compliance with related requirements and bargaining agreements.
  • Grievance Investigation: Investigate grievances and complaints (e.g., sexual harassment, pay and assignment disputes, discrimination) to respond to issues raised, gather information, recommend solutions, and report findings, providing timely responses to maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Recruitment Management: Manage the recruitment and employment process (e.g., staffing projections, budgeting staff, advertising, developing work year calendars, responding to unemployment claims) to attract and maintain a highly qualified staff, ensure staffing ratios remain within budget, and compliance is met with laws, board policy, and administrative regulations.
  • Labor Relations: Participate as a primary contributor and negotiator in the collective bargaining processes with employee associations, administrators, and staff (e.g., develop management proposals, evaluate associations' proposals, conduct market surveys, finalize negotiation documents) to assist district negotiations of a fair and equitable labor agreement within the scope of defined goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Master's Degree in Education or related field.
  • Certification: Principal or Superintendent Certification.
  • Experience: Building administrator, school leadership, or HR related task experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required; 5 years preferred. 
  • Skills: Proficient in operating standard office equipment, planning and managing projects, preparing budgets and reviewing financial information, developing effective working relationships, and administering personnel policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of personnel processes and pertinent codes, policies, regulations, and laws. High proficiency in Google, Microsoft Office Software.
  • Abilities: Ability to schedule and manage a significant number of activities, meetings, and events; gather, collate, and classify data; use job-related equipment; work with a diverse group of individuals; analyze data; and maintain confidentiality.
