Job Description:
The Cape Girardeau Public School District is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team to serve as a Physical Education/Health teacher at Central High School for the 2025-26 academic year.
 
The Physical Education teacher is responsible for providing learning experiences in the family and consumer sciences, disciplines and supervision of students in a supportive and positive climate.
 
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in Physical Education with a Health Education Certificate or the willingness to test for same.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Skills in human relations, leadership and conflict management
• Knowledge of teaching techniques that meet the diverse need of students

Preferred Qualifications:

• Willingness and ability to coach at the secondary level
• Working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities
